Architectural Consultant
Our professional architectural consultant undertakes capital construction projects, including new structure construction, additions, alterations, and repairs to State buildings.
As part of the service, our architectural consultant performs a thorough review of all construction drawings and specifications for approved projects, including floor plans, site plans, elevations, section details, electrical, and mechanical plans; specifies the materials to be used; determines the dates when the projects will be completed.
Creates contract documents to be used as a basis for asking contractors to submit bids on projects, including estimates of labour and materials which the contractor will provide; Verifies all plans and specifications that are compliant with building codes, local regulations, energy conservation laws, and aesthetic requirements (for example, ensures compliance with the State Building Preservation Act); assigns portions of the project to others; prepares plans using CAD (Computer Aided Design).
